Backward Community Development Society is a non – profit, non - governmental organization (NGO) Working for the empowerment of the rural & urban communities including women, farmers, unorganized workers, youth, widows, differently abled persons and depressed Children. It was registered in the year 1999 as a Society under Societies Registration Act of Andhra Pradesh 1975 and was also registered under Foreign Contribution Regulation Act. Backward Community Development Society implements all sorts of projects and programmes in all fields through integrated approach and helps the overall development of women, children and other target people. All the programs of Backward Community Development Society are people ‘s program with their fullest participation at every stage. We at Backward Community Development Society Strongly believe that the overall community development is sustained through the improvement of quality of lives of target people.

To unify all the available development forces and resources of the communities in order to restore the human dignity of the poor, needy oppressed, marginalized and disadvantaged through process of Animation and Motivation leading to sustainable development

Greetings from “Backward Community Development Society(BCDS)”. I would like to draw few lines for your kind consideration and information regarding my Organization to your good self.

I am Mr.T.Yagappa the President  of the “Backward Community Development Society (BCDS)”, Cuddapah, Andhra Pradesh, India. This organization is non-political and Non-profitable. My designation is Chief functionary of the society. I have attended several capacity building programmes which were conducted by different reputed institutions of national and international. All programmes are related to social development sector and social work at local as well as national level. I am the person who came from disadvantaged groups in society and faced so many challenges in the regarding education, work and other welfare programmes. So far I was decided myself after my completion of post-graduation in sociology to serve the poor and disadvantaged groups children should not meet the troubles, what I met in my life. So I have started a voluntary organization with the help of the local educated peoples and they are supporting the community in their regular requirements.  Our organization possessing complete knowledge on life styles of the rural and urban areas.

The Backward Community Development Society is officially registered under government rules Act. The register number is 177/1999. After followed up all rules and se decided to improve the socio-economic life style of the down trodden, underprivileged, poorest of the poor in the society irrespective of caste, creed. Now the organization focusing on gender equality programme.

The society enjoys FCRA facility.12A income tax exemption certificate Since 1999 our organization started its work for the development of the society. These services were recognized by the government as well as the local heads of the villages. So far the government of Andhra Pradesh had crowned with BEST NGO in the district. By the spirit of this our organization extended its activities in different horizons like women empowerment, Anti-trafficking, Gender discrimination, health and hygiene, RTE Act-2009 and HIV/AIDS so far.

By our dedication services some other NGOs extended their hands also for establish the better and healthy society. Presently 25 NGOs in AP came under one umbrella and started the team work in on one concept. TOGETHER EVERY ACHIEVE MORE (TEAM).

In this regard we planned to approach your good self and take the precious suggestions in implementing of the development programmes in rural and tribal areas of the state. So far we need your grace in our work and need to extend your supporting hand to us with help of the collaborative work.

We unanimously decided to take part in the programme of MAARPU. So please give an opportunity to us to work under your kind leadership. Whether your support will continuous with us we are ready to discharge our programmes in neighbor states like Tamilnadu, Kerala and Karnataka.

Backward Development Society is also registered under the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA) of 1976.It is also registered under section 12 AA of the Indian Act of 1961.
